Weekend #2 In the Can - Day 5 Recap
Troop 1 awoke to a VERY Chilly morning. It was about 35°. Breakfasts were quickly prepared and cleaned up and then we all gathered together for a Non-denominational Worship Service presented by the Patrol Chaplain Aides. We then assembled on Gilwelll Field for our Morning Assembly.
Following Assembly, the Each Patrol presented their Patrol Projects to the rest of the troop. Each of the projects was an excellent example of team work. Following the project
presentations, the PLC met for the day. Lunches were prepared and then everyone met for a presentation on Coaching & Mentoring by SA Facilities Gary Price.
At about 14:00 the troop gathered to hear instructions on the Conservation project to be performed at Lake Towhee. The Patrols disbursed to their assigned areas led by their Venturing
Crew member. The patrols performed a cleanup of the area, some trail maintenance and then weeding and mulching the playground area.
At the conclusion of the Conservation Project, the staff packed their things and departed Lake Towhee for Ockanickon, leaving the Experienced Patrols to spend the night alone without staff.
The patrols prepared their dinners and then gathered together near the lake for a Campfire.
The staff gathered at Ockanickon for their Staff Dinner, followed by some last minute items for the next day and then sleep.
